FoilBoost is Waydoo's foil assist system. It mounts to the mast of the foil you already ride and gives you a controlled hit of power exactly when you need it: getting up on foil earlier, connecting bumps that would not link on their own, and turning marginal days into full sessions.

Will it fit my mast?

The adjustable pad system covers most masts on the market. Compatible chord lengths by pad combination:

  • Standard front + standard rear pads: 126 to 106 mm with the standard M5x25 bolt, or 144 to 106 mm with the extended M5x45 bolt
  • Standard + extended pads: 119 to 101 mm, or 139 to 101 mm with the extended bolt
  • Extended front + extended rear pads: 114 to 96 mm, or 134 to 96 mm with the extended bolt

      Almost certainly. The adjustable pad system fits mast chord lengths from 96 mm to 144 mm, which Waydoo rate at over 98% of masts on the market. Standard front and rear pads cover 126 to 106 mm (or 144 to 106 mm with the extended bolt), mixed pads cover 119 to 101 mm, and extended pads cover 114 to 96 mm. Fit can vary with mast design, so send us your mast brand and model and we will confirm before you order.

      Waydoo rate it at up to 40 minutes on the two included batteries (432 Wh total). Real-world riders report anywhere from about 20 minutes to 45 minutes, and the difference comes down to rider weight, board and wing size, and how much throttle you use. If you use it purely as an assist to get up on foil and then ride the swell, you will be at the top of that range. If you ride it like an eFoil, you will be at the bottom. Both batteries recharge in parallel in around 150 minutes.

      Both modes come in the one kit and swapping takes about a minute. Front-pull puts the unit ahead of the mast, which adds rider protection and gives a more planted, stable feel. Rear-push sits it behind the mast for less drag and a more agile ride. Most riders start front-pull while they learn the system, then try rear-push once they are confident.

      No. Each FoilBoost battery is well above the 160 Wh limit airlines allow, so they cannot travel in carry-on or checked baggage on a passenger flight. They move by road freight only. If you are travelling with your foil gear, plan to freight the batteries separately and give yourself lead time.

      Waydoo's international site does not sell into Australia, and ordering through an overseas reseller means a multi-week wait, customs paperwork, freight on heavy lithium batteries, and import charges that land after you have already paid.
