Reduce your down time.
Sydney's dedicated Seabob service workshop. Scheduled preventive maintenance, fast repairs and genuine parts — so your Seabob is always ready when you are.
Specialist Seabob servicing, in Sydney.
Your Seabob is an asset — maintain it and keep its value. Until now, Seabob owners and charter crews in NSW have had to freight their units interstate for service. Aqua Club brings specialist Seabob servicing to Sydney: a fully-equipped workshop, genuine Seabob spare parts and technicians who know the F5 and F9 series inside out. From a quick pre-season health check to a full strip-down and reseal, we keep your Seabob running and protect your investment.
DIAGNOSTICS
We see everything.
Every service and repair starts with a full USB diagnostic. We read every internal value against the factory benchmark — battery, motor, seals, electronics and the safety cut-off — and hand you a written status report with clear recommendations. No guesswork, and no surprises once work begins.
Seeing an error on the display? We fix all of them.
We diagnose and repair the full range of Seabob faults using genuine parts and the manufacturer's repair protocol.
Common physical repairs: impeller · bumpers · control grip · display HMI · e-box / electronics · induction & depth sensors · ducts · batteries · hull / shell.
ONBOARD SERVICE — "FLYING DOCTOR"
Too busy? We come to your boat.
Boat full of guests and no time to drop your Seabob off? We'll pick it up — or come to you and service it on board. We run full diagnostics on the spot, and if there's an issue we provide a written quote before any work begins. Ideal for charter vessels and owners who can't release the unit during the season.
Boat full of guests? Water toy not working?
Don't lose a day on the water. Ask about a replacement Seabob from our hire fleet while yours is in for service or repair. Subject to availability, Sydney-based.
Water toys are assets — maintain and keep their value.
A Seabob is mostly used on or just under the surface, so its seals see very little pressure variation. Over time they stiffen and lose flexibility, and salt and corrosion build up where you can't see them. The battery lid seal is the single barrier keeping seawater out of the battery compartment — keeping it clean and intact is one of the most important things you can do. Scheduled preventive maintenance — replacing O-rings and locking rings, clearing salt and corrosion, lubricating, updating firmware and pressure-testing — prevents the expensive failures and keeps resale value high.
After-ride care tips:
- Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after every use — bow, sides, underneath, and especially around the battery lid seal where salt crystallises.
- Run fresh water into the trigger while pressing it repeatedly to flush sand and grit.
- Check the charging port for water ingress and dry all charging contacts.
- Wash the body with warm soapy water and dry before storage.
- For storage, leave the battery at 50–60% charge (not full, not flat) in transport/storage mode, somewhere dry and 5–25°C.
- Book a full service once a year — it's also what keeps your warranty in force.
We service every Seabob.
F5 series: F5 · F5 S · F5 SR
F9 series: F9 · F9 L (long range) · F9 S
Bought it elsewhere or not sure which you have? No problem — bring it in and we'll take care of it.
In-warranty? Repairs are free of charge.
- Seabob warranty runs 24 months from date of purchase.
- An annual service at an authorised facility keeps your warranty in force — a missed service can leave a gap if a claim is later needed.
- Spare parts carry a 12-month warranty from date of install.
- Keep your purchase invoice showing the unit serial number.
- Heavy or commercial use (e.g. charter) isn't a separate warranty tier — tell us your use pattern up front so any borderline claim is handled cleanly.
- Not covered: natural wear; damage from improper handling or storage; use contrary to normal use; work done by an unauthorised facility; non-approved parts; failure to follow the operating/maintenance manual.
- Opening the Seabob by an unauthorised party voids the warranty — always use a qualified Seabob technician.
- Transport to and from the service centre for warranty work is the owner's cost (standard Seabob terms).

How often does my Seabob need servicing?
How often does my Seabob need servicing?
Once a year. Seabob expects an annual inspection at an authorised facility for every unit — and that annual service is what keeps the 24-month manufacturer warranty in force. For heavy or charter use we also recommend quick non-invasive checks between major outings.
What does an annual service cover?
What does an annual service cover?
Typically: a pressure check on the sealed propulsion housing; drive-seal and battery lid-seal inspection; anode check and replacement where needed; a full battery diagnostic via the Seabob controller; a charging-system check; verification of the electronic safety cut-off; and a firmware update — all with genuine Seabob parts.
Where is your workshop?
Where is your workshop?
Brookvale, on Sydney's Northern Beaches — Unit 18 / 26 Wattle Rd, Brookvale NSW 2100. We also collect and return units Australia-wide.
How long does a service take?
How long does a service take?
A diagnostic is usually same-day. A standard service is typically 2–4 days; a full preventive strip-down 3–5 days. Repairs are confirmed with your quote. Onboard 'flying doctor' service is available in-season.
Can I get a price up front?
Can I get a price up front?
Yes for scheduled services (shown 'from' above). Repairs are quoted after a diagnostic, because the fix — and the parts cost — depends on the fault and the model (F5 vs F9).
Do you use genuine Seabob parts?
Do you use genuine Seabob parts?
Yes — we fit genuine Seabob spare parts and follow the manufacturer's repair protocol.
Can I keep using my Seabob with a cracked hull?
Can I keep using my Seabob with a cracked hull?
The hull isn't a sealed compartment, so in many cases it's still safe to use — but get it checked. We can often weld and patch cracks with great results.
Can I service the Seabob myself?
Can I service the Seabob myself?
No. A Seabob should only be opened and serviced by a qualified technician — DIY work voids the warranty and risks the lithium battery system.
Do you offer a replacement while mine is serviced?
Do you offer a replacement while mine is serviced?
Often yes, from our Sydney hire fleet — ask when you book.
How should I store it over winter?
How should I store it over winter?
Leave the battery at 50–60% charge in transport/storage mode, check it monthly, and store it somewhere dry between roughly 5°C and 25°C, away from flammable materials — and keep the lid seal clean. Better still, book a winterisation and let us manage it.
